Highest Partnership in IPL

While the IPL is known for its explosive batting, with big hitters like Chris Gayle and Andre Russell capable of taking the bowling apart single-handedly, Partnerships provide much-needed stability at the crease.

A perfect example of this is an outstanding 2nd wicket partnership of 229 runs between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Lions on May 14th, 2016. This is also the highest partnership in IPL.

This wasn’t just about two great batsmen scoring runs – it was a masterclass in partnership batting. They complemented each other’s strengths, rotated the strike, and took calculated risks to put up a mammoth total that their bowlers could defend.
